Server rules

Read these before you apply. Your application includes questions on them, and every member is held to the same rulebook.

Last updated November 1, 2026. When you report someone, quote the rule code, for example 2.3.

Community conduct

How we treat each other out of character, in-game and on Discord.

1.1

Respect other members

Out of character, treat every member with respect. Disagreements belong in a support ticket, not in voice chat or public channels.

1.2

Zero tolerance for hate

Slurs, hate speech and harassment based on race, gender, sexuality, religion or disability lead to permanent removal, in or out of character.

1.3

Minimum age

Members must be 17 or older. Lying about your age on your application is grounds for permanent removal.

1.4

One account per person

Use one Discord account and one console account. Alternate accounts used to evade a punishment are removed along with the main account.

1.5

Staff decisions

Follow staff instructions during a scene, even if you disagree. Challenge a decision afterwards through an appeal, not on the spot.

Roleplay standards

The core of serious roleplay. Most reports involve one of these rules.

2.1

Stay in character

Once you’re in the session, stay in character. If you have to step out of a scene, use out-of-character chat briefly and come back in as soon as you can.

2.2

Value your life

Your character fears death and injury the way a real person would. Act like it when a weapon is drawn, when outnumbered, or when hurt.

Example. Two armed robbers have you at gunpoint. Reaching for your own weapon is not valuing your life.

2.3

No metagaming

Your character only knows what they’ve learned in character. Information from Discord, streams or party chat can’t be used in a scene.

Example. Watching a friend’s stream to find out where the police are setting up is metagaming.

2.4

No powergaming

Don’t force outcomes on other players or do things that would be impossible in real life. Give every person in the scene a chance to respond.

Example. "/me knocks him out instantly and takes his phone" gives the other player no say. That is powergaming.

2.5

Realistic driving and actions

Drive and act as your character realistically could. Taking a sports car off-road through the swamp at full speed is not believable.

2.6

No combat logging

Don’t leave the session to avoid a scene, an arrest or a death. If you have a real emergency, tell staff in a ticket as soon as you can.

2.7

New life rule

After your character is downed and taken out of a scene, they don’t remember the events that led to it and can’t return to that scene for 30 minutes.

2.8

Character death

Permanently killing a character needs either the owner’s consent or staff approval of the story behind it.

Crime and combat

Conflict makes for great stories, as long as both sides get to play it out.

3.1

Initiate before you attack

Hostile action needs clear verbal initiation first, and the other player needs a fair chance to respond. Attacking without roleplay is random deathmatch.

3.2

No vehicle deathmatch

Don’t use a vehicle as a weapon unless it’s part of an initiated scene and the move is believable.

3.3

Hostage scenes

Hostages must be real hostages, not friends playing along. Negotiations should give police a fair chance to make a deal.

3.4

Crime limits

Major crimes such as bank jobs and armed heists need enough police on duty and have cooldowns between them. Current limits are pinned in Discord.

3.5

Safe zones

Hospitals, police stations and the courthouse are safe zones. No crime may start or continue inside them.

3.6

No cop baiting

Don’t provoke police just to start a chase with no story behind it.

3.7

Leave on-duty medics alone

Don’t rob, kidnap or attack on-duty Fire & Rescue members. They treat everyone and stay neutral.

Departments

Extra expectations for members serving in law enforcement, fire, EMS or dispatch.

4.1

Respect the chain of command

Follow lawful orders from higher ranks in character. Raise problems out of character with your department leadership.

4.2

Use only what you’re cleared for

Only use the vehicles, equipment and uniforms your rank and certifications allow.

4.3

Corruption needs approval

Corrupt officer or medic storylines need written approval from department leadership before they start.

4.4

Switching departments

Wait 14 days after joining a department before you transfer, so training isn’t wasted.

Voice and communication

Roleplay on console runs on voice. Keep it clear for everyone.

5.1

Working microphone

A working microphone with clear audio is required. Text-only roleplay isn’t allowed during scenes.

5.2

No soundboards or voice changers

Don’t use soundboards, music over voice, or voice changers unless staff have approved one for a character.

5.3

Keep out-of-character chat short

Use out-of-character chat only when you have to, and keep it brief.

Streaming and content

Streaming and clips are welcome. These rules keep them from spoiling scenes.

6.1

Streaming is allowed

Anyone may stream or record their sessions. Add a short delay if you’re in an active police or crime scene.

6.2

No stream sniping

Watching another member’s stream to gain an advantage counts as metagaming under rule 2.3.

6.3

Share clips respectfully

Don’t post clips to mock or harass another member. Staff may ask you to take a clip down.

Enforcement

How rule breaks are reported, decided and appealed.

7.1

Reporting a rule break

Open a report ticket in Discord within 48 hours. Include the rule code, time, location and a clip if you have one.

7.2

Penalties

Penalties usually step up from a verbal warning to a written warning, a suspension, and finally removal. Serious breaks can skip steps.

7.3

Appeals

You can appeal a suspension or removal after 14 days. A different staff member from the one who issued it reviews the appeal.

Penalty ladder

Penalties usually go in this order. Staff can skip steps for serious breaks, such as hate speech or cheating.

  1. Verbal warningA staff member explains the rule. Logged, but no further action.
  2. Written warningRecorded on your file. Two in 60 days moves you to suspension.
  3. SuspensionRemoved from sessions for 3 to 14 days depending on the break.
  4. RemovalWhitelist revoked. You can appeal after 14 days.
